In today's demanding economy, retooling your
existing cartoner for custom applications makes good economic sense for co packers and manufacturers.
By retooling or
resizing your existing cartoner for a new application as opposed to the purchase of a pre owned or new cartoner reduces capital
outlay significantly.
Several examples of improving your existing cartoning capabilities include:
Extend the carton size range from standard range, allowing for new carton sizes to run on existing cartoner with conversion
parts.
Upgrade speed capabilities by installing a high speed rotary carton set unit.
Simplify carton size changeovers
with bolt in easy exchange carton folding modules.
Extend existing hand load cartoner to allow for increased operators
and thus increasing output.
Upgrade hot melt glue pattern controls to allow for change in carton per minute speed changes
as well as pre set carton recipes.
When choosing a machinery supplier that will perform the work, consider their
experience in application and machine design. Often, less experienced suppliers offer what sounds like the right solution
for low cost that usually ends up with a frustrating result with additional costs to make it right in the end.
Packaging

custom solutions to retool an existing Clybourn Handload Cartoner to run extremely oversized cartons on a standard Clybourn
Hand load Cartoner.
The customer required a carton size of 12" x 7 3/4" x 8 ½"to
run on their existing Clybourn hand load cartoner which is normally maxed out at 8 1/4" x 3 ¼" x 11 ¼".

conversion included oversized carton magazine, resized cartoner, as well as a top chain track product conveyor for conveyance
of product to operator stations.
